Grandma and Grandpa have enjoyed taking Flat Stanley around to some of the things we do. The next thing to do is to put Flat Stanley in an envelope and send him back to you. Thanks for letting us get to know him.
Maybe we will be able to visit your class sometime when we come to visit.

Flat Stanley visits Grandpa's office
Before we got to Grandpa's office, we met his administrative assistant. Her name is Wendy. She fell in love with Stanley!
She even let him sit in her chair! I think Stanley kind of likes her, too.
Next Flat Stanley went to Grandpa's office. It has his name on the wall in the hall by his door. Flat Stanley needed some help to open the door...
Flat Stanley liked all the junk on Grandpa's desk. Grandpa has lots and lots of pens and pencils and lots of sticky notes. Flat Stanley played Spider Solitaire on Grandpa's computer for a while and listened in to some phone calls. It's lots of fun at Grandpa's work, to visit, that is. Sophie has been to Grandpa's office and the classroom, also.
If any of the children in Sophie's class have any questions about what it is like in Utah, you can ask Sophie's Grandpa. He will answer your questions from his desk where Flat Stanley had so much fun. You can email him at: wisero@uvsc.edu.

Grandpa's School
Grandpa teaches school at a college called Utah Valley State College. He teaches a class called "Marriage". They talk about dating and getting married and love. Flat Stanley visited Grandpa's class and helped teach about love.
The college students enjoyed having Flat Stanley in class. They each had a chance to talk with him.
Amber and Bree thought he was cute.
Karlee, Courtney, and Rachel played a game on the table with Flat Stanley.
Fred, Robert, and Lynnette had a good discussion with Flat Stanley.
Ryan, Heather, and Naya are teaching Flat Stanley something.
Naya and Steve are playing with Flat Stanley.
Flat Stanley enjoyed the day in class. He misses his real class in El Cajon, but this one was all right.
SNOW !!!!
Since Stanley came from sunny El Cajon, he wasn't aware of the existence of snow. Grandpa put him in a snow bank and it was cold!
Even though it was cold, it was lots of fun. In Utah it snows in the wintertime. Snow is fun to play in. Sophie has been in Utah when it was snowing. She helped build a snowman, threw snowballs, rode on a sled, and got cold. It was great fun!

Levi
Flat Stanley had a chance to be with a baby when the baby Levi was visiting.
Babies are fun to be with but they don't say much. And if you are small, like Flat Stanley, they put you in their mouth and slobber all over you. Flat Stanley didn't like that much, but Sybil dried him off and gave him back to Grandpa for his next adventure.
Two Dogs to Get To Know
Two dogs also enjoyed a visit with Flat Stanley. Bizou (bee-zoo) is a black poodle and belongs to Sybil's family. Toby is a brown poodle and belongs to Grandma and Grandpa. They didn't mind being with Flat Stanley but they really didn't get to know him well.
Toby is not sure at all if he likes Flat Stanley.
Bizou is trying to get away from Flat Stanley. Bizou is kind of nervous about anything new.
Flat Stanley went on to other adventures and the dogs were able to relax
Stanley visits Grandma and visitors
Grandma recently received a bionic hip and is recovering. Her visitors today are Flat Stanley (who wishes her a speedy recovery), granddaughter Sadie, niece Sybil and her new baby Levi. Grandma is doing very well and appreciates her visitors.
Flat Stanley Appears in Utah
About a month ago we received a letter from Sophie, our granddaughter, in San Diego. Her school class is doing a project about a book called Flat Stanley. Sophie asked if we would have some adventures with Flat Stanley and report on them to her so she could report to the class. This blog is about those adventures.
